This is a multi-media presentation I created of my images on my trip to Italy, September 2011. I traveled to Lipari for one night, then went to Salina with Jay and Becky Dickman, then we went sailing on a beautiful sailboat, the Wilmar, then went back to Lipari for 4 days with side trips to Vulcano.

I was a Rob Proctor (9News Gardening Expert) Gardening Apprentice for five years. I am blogged my adventures as a Proctor Apprentice. We did veggie gardens, perennials gardens, container gardens, annuals in the garden, etc. Each week the 9News film crew did a segment at 8:15am MDT on 9News and on the MY20 station. It follows our progress in Rob's garden. I'm not a apprentice any longer but the information is timeless.

These images were captured during a FirstLight Workshop on the islands of Lipari and Salina. The Aeolians Islands are north of Sicily. The presentation includes images from all the photographers that traveled there the last week of September, 2011. We split up into two groups, one on Liapri and one on Salina and then mid-week we swapped islands.

I recently bought a 104 year old house in a small town (too small to be a actual town).. This blog is about fixing it up and living in a small town. There's always something new to discover in the yard, around the house and in the community.
